Well, from 10 of Sept to 12 of Sept, I did changed, into a better me!!! How??
Well, during that period of time, from 0730-2130, I attended, with the rest of my friends and rest who I didn't knew, to this workshop. Firstly, I thought that it was gonna be some other workshop, boring. But, NO, this was damn different from the other workshop I've attended. It made me realise so much things in life. Firstly, it's the power of the mind that enables you to do what seems impossible to you, but do-able.
1st DAYDanny, the trainer's name of course, took us for the morning session. He thought us on how it takes for many learning experiences to achieve success.
Ben took us for the afternoon session. He thought us so many things, that some till now, I forgotten about it. I know abt the 30 word list, which we memorised about.
Amin took us for the evening session. I vaguely remembered that it was about my group and the other group, competed to get more points, as we played this game. Sorry, my memory ain't that good.
2nd DAYBen took us for the morning session. We did more on speed reading. Yeah, my eyes were always used to reading things slowly. Haiz.
Amin took us for the afternoon session. We did this marble game, with us being separated into groups of 9. ME, Hong Sheng, Khair, Iqmal, Dzul, Matiin, Gerald and Cameron. It was this game where different sizes of paper were supposed to rolled and taped into solid cylindrical cones, with the top and bottom opened. The objective of the game was to roll two marbles into a paper cup, which was about 1 foot away from the last person. We were supposed to stand side-by-side connecting the path for the marble to roll through. My team got one in, I guess, but not both in. When Amin showed how to got it in, we were amazed. All of us did not think of using the method he showed us. WE did another try, using his technique, but still cannot make it, haha!
Went for Friday prayers. We (me, Elfy, Iman, Khair, Hariz, Sufi and Zainul) were late so we had to squeezed in. Went back to school, it was raining, in fact, drizzling.
Then, Danny took us for then on till dinner. He talked so much about family. How we had thoughts about our families and all about that uh! Till this session, majority in the room, teared. Well, of course I teared too! The way Danny made talked to us, as we were closing our faces and our eyes, it made me teared lots. Even some I were not expecting them to cry teared too!!! Well, this goes to show the power of words Danny used and our imagination.
After dinner, we did wrote our goals on a piece of paper in our sketch pad given. As it happened to be 41 days to O levels, we held our papers in the air, for 41 MINUTES!!! We had to hold the paper directly in front of us, above chest level. Either that position or directly above us. Our eyes were not supposed to leave the paper. Well, after 5 minutes, I felt all pain at my shoulder region. I was in so much pain in 10 minutes, but I endured, together with the rest of my friends. 41 mins done, extended another 1+ mins. We did it! Wow, I was in so much agony, but still managed to do it! Finally, I was the one Amin chose to lead the 'Wush!'. Well, it was a special something to end our days.
3rd DAYBefore my dad left the house, he told me, "call me if you want me to attend the ceremony." Well, he did wanted to skip it, but he said that in the morning. I replied, "Will do!" In fact, I did called him to attend it!
Danny took the morning session. Gave us time to recap about what have we all learnt for the past 2 days. He also made us do this challenge which all of us had to say out the 30 words we were given to memorised, within 13 seconds! Many failed, but some did managed to pass the test. I failed it. Danny also shared his personal experience, when he was a child and all. His talk reminded me of my late grandmother. Before Danny left, he gave us a few words of encouragement to us.
Ben took the afternoon session. More of speed reading and more of planning of our individual's future. Most refreshing that training in speed reading does help in our exams, in a way. Haha!
Amin then took over in the evening session, made us do key idea trees, or to me, mindmaps. It's been a damn long time I've not done my mindmap. Criously!
Well, in the evening, after our dinner, it was the closing ceremony. Parents were invited to attend, so was my dad. As Amin said, he wanted it to be a miraculous night. Indeed it was. Much tears flowed, not as much compared to the previous day though.
To Danny, Amin, Ben, Ivan and Mishuardy (if I'm not wrong), thank you guys for making it such a success. I definitely benefited alot from these 3 miraculous days. Salute you guys.
To all out there, if given a chance to attend this course, do go for it. It definitely meaningful. The 'I'm gifted, so are you' programme did benefit me lots, and if believe it or not, I did changed! I'm sure my friends did. :)
Well, that's all for this post, till next time. Bye2!!!!
